Is Lake Como suitable for those with mobility problems?

Hi folks.

Is Lake Como flat to walk around?

I have a form of rheumatism, and am not very good at hills/slopes.

I went to Garda last year, and loved it, but would like to go somewhere different where there is a lake, and boat trips.

I need a hotel that's close to amenities... shops etc, and one that has a lift.

Please help.
